Leslie’s energy and enthusiasm for yoga and life is contagious. She was introduced to yoga 16 years ago and it remained an anchor of balance, growth, and radiance. Traveling the globe as a competitive snowboarder, Leslie integrated yoga into her life realizing its power harmonize the body, mind and breath cultivating focus and connection. These skills have proven advantageous on the mat, on the mountain, at the
top of the X Games halfpipe and in everyday life. Examining yoga in a holistic way, she blends alignment, breath, creative sequencing and intention steeped in the traditions of Tantra Hatha Yoga to inspire courage, grace, and freedom for students. As a teacher, she hopes to hearten students creating a safe environment to find balance, space and freedom in their lives, reach their full potential and shine bright.
Leslie completed her 200 hour RYT certification through Meta Yoga Schools and continues to study, learn and grow attending workshops and trainings when possible.
Cambodia touched the life of Doug Mendel on his fist visit to the country back in 1997. The beautiful, friendly and caring people captivated Doug and has inspired him to return to Cambodia many times over the ensuing years. In 2005 he founded the Douglas Mendel Cambodian Relief Fund (firetrucksforcambodia.com) to help the fire fighters in the developing country become better equipped with over three tons of donated supplies and gear and two donated firetrucks.
With his intimate knowledge of the country, and over 20 trips there to his credit, he enjoys sharing his experiences with others so they can have a glimpse of how Cambodia and the Khmer people have touched his heart over the decades. His meditation and yoga practice over the past six years have given him a foundation of balance of the mind, body and soul.
