Kathleen 3Kathleen Filo

Kathleen is the director and founder of Live Well Retreats NZ. She also is a full time yoga teacher at various studios around Porirua and Wellington and usually facilitates the power vinyasa yoga sessions on retreat.

Kathleen is specialised and trained in teaching power vinyasa flow attaining her 200hr teacher training through Power Living Australia. Forever a student she continues to further her studies by attending advanced teacher trainings programs around the globe. Kathleen is grateful for and continues to draw inspiration from her teachers Duncan Peak and Tiffany Cruikshank.

Kathleen believes her dharma or calling in life is in yoga retreats. Having studied tourism management at Victoria University Wellington, combining her two passions of; tourism event management and yoga has been a natural flow of events.

Her classes are playful and challenging. Through a variety of poses and conscious sequencing her classes will build strength, flexibility and balance. Expect to enjoy feeling both physically and mentally challenged. Kathleen’s classes are down to earth and purposefully themed exploring the correlation between challenges on and off the mat. She loves to weave storytelling, proper alignment and high vibrant fun energy to her classes and retreats

  • The price for this Rates $2497 shared bedroom per person.

    • Accommodations: 6 nights in ULUWATU – CANGGU

      Yoga: Each day we will lead 1-2 all levels yoga classes. The morning class will be a powerful vinyasa flow style class. The evening classes will be gentle, yin and restorative to balance from our day of adventure.

      Included in your Bali Adventure:

      Cost: We have a few options to help you create the Bali Experience that is epic for you! One 60 minute massage, a trip to UBUD, mini fitness and nutrition workshops, a natural health care workshop,

      Food: Included in your retreat is a breakfast buffet every day, as well as 24 hour coffee and tea service, filtered fresh water, fresh fruit, and healthy sit-down dinners. An a la carte menu is available until 9pm.

      Retreat Package: Retreat includes 6 nights accommodation, 3 meals a day, 2-3 hours of yoga instruction a day. We do have room for solo travelers as well as small groups, but space is limited. Rooms are on a first come, first serve basis. Secure your spot with a $500 non-refundable deposit (but transferable to another person for same retreat). Payment plans are available for early reservations.

    OTHER Frequently Asked Questions:

    Do I need a visa to visit Bali?
    Yes, you are required to have a visa to enter Indonesia, obtained either beforehand or on arrival. U.S. passport holders will need to show a passport valid for six months after the arrival date in Bali, a return ticket and $25USD (in exact change) for a 30 day visa. Visa regulations have been in flux in Bali for almost a decade so it is recommended that you check with your consulate for the most up to date information.

    What airport do I fly into?
    Make all travel arrangements into Denpasar (DPS). Please be aware that you will need to depart the US one to two days before the start of the retreat, depending on the flight schedule you chose.

    How do I get from Denpasar airport to the retreat?
    Transfers are included and a shuttle will pick you up.
    Note: If you arrive in Bali before or after the the retreat dates begins and ends you’ll be responsible for your transportation.

    What is the electrical currency/outlet in Bali?
    Bali utilizes the standard British plug (two flat blades and one flat grounding blade) and the European plug (two round pins) and is at 230V. Adapters will be necessary if you are taking any electrical items.

    Do I need any Vaccines?
    Generally speaking, traveling to foreign countries exposes you to new germs and diseases. All inoculations or malaria tablet inquiries need to be directed to your physician for an accurate assessment of your individual need or preference.

    Is there internet access on property?
    While we hope you’ll try and unplug… yes, there is wifi at our accommodations.

    What will the weather be like?
    Because of it’s equatorial location, Bali tends to have fairly stable weather with the ‘wet’ season occurring between October and April and the ‘dry’ season between May and September. It is generally always hot with temperatures hovering in the mid to high 80s and up.
